Identity is an essential feature of blockchain. So essential that describing it as a 'feature' feels like trivializing it.

Even though some blockchains are anonymous and some are pseudonymous, there is a need to somehow ensure that the ownership of digital assets - be they cryptocurrency, data, or tokens - is clearly defined.
