Even though data is everywhere, and in every discipline, rarely is that made clear to students. Seldom do they have the opportunity to develop and practice data skills or understand data beyond charts and graphs alone. Because of this, students aren’t achieving data literacy. Students need more authentic ways to interact with data beyond the math classroom. Students need to see how data can be used to solve problems in their everyday lives. SAS is committed to helping teach young learners how to derive meaningful information from data.
